The part that makes me most hopeful for the new DCU, though, is that James Gunn and Peter Safran are hitting all of the right notes when it comes to what went wrong with previous DC iterations, as well as the production process on superhero movies in general.

They're promising to put writers first, never greenlight something that isn't ready, and not enter production on anything that doesn't have to have a finished script. All of that is music to my ears.

@CaptainAmerica [mastodon.cloud] I love both characters but #WonderWoman has centuries of training on #Supergirl so it's no contest as to who would win. In some of my favorite #comics Diana actually took over from Clark and trained Supergirl because before that training Kara was nowhere near her full potential. I love the mentorship & sisterhood between them, it was such a great story. It's in Superman/Batman issues 8-13, by Jeph Loeb & Michael Turner, may he rest in peace 🙏🏿

I tried to find the HitchHiker's Guide quote I seemed to remember about "having taken all the naps one can usefully take in a day," but it turns out that was about baths (before entering the long dark teatime of the soul).
