Time to help someone win some Apex matches by being comically terrible!

Been here for a bit, but it's time for a re- !

I'm Stu. I am an old-ish indie game dev/designer. I make narrative driven stuff mostly. I use video games to explore narrative and mechanics, so a lot of my stuff is a bit out there. I use Unity3d, yarn, and twine as my go-to engines.

I've worked on AAA games, but I prefer to do my own thing now.

I also really like TV and Film (that's what I studied in university) and general pop-culture. So I might yammer on about that.

This account is not about real-world politics or news, I do that elsewhere. So you're mostly safe to follow for just game/pop-culture/creativity-related stuff.

Here's a pretty picture of something I was working on recently. Sometimes I just practice level design and stuff like this comes out of it.

Hashtag mess:

playing some of my switch backlog this weekend!!! yay!

I'm not sure what I'm doing today. I think today, I'm going to try to prototype a few possible visual designs for something in this game. Engineering-wise, it's great, but it could use some love.

Here's my quick narrative-driven interactive fiction game I made for this year's Global Game Jam!

Thinking about playing Overwatch again, but going 100% Torbjorn main instead of my usual Ana/Winston

Pro tip:

Don’t engage with those trying to drag you down to their level.

Punch up.

I'm enjoying the Apex Legends Winter Express event a lot. A distinct improvement over their attempt tat the Octane event a while back. This one is fun because of the meta game with the rotating load outs and the match-based respawns.

If I say "don't @ me" and you @ me, you get blocked. Ugh.

Friendly reminder: Clark Kent was Superman's secret identity. Not the other way around. Don't @ me.

gray boxing some rooms, tonight. not sure what I really want from this area.

Building some props and doing some world building this week. Here's a fun shot showing our mapping device. :)

Progress photo from today's Unity world building experiments. Amusing accidental texture swap while trying to get used to the new terrain workflow on large, multi-terrain worlds.
