I'm trying to remember the name of an old indie/DIY tabletop role-playing game I used to play when I was a kid. I can't for the life of me remember its name or core mechanics.

It was printed DIY style and I picked it up from a GenCon in the late 80s or early 90s when I was a kid.

It's a sci-fi game and most of the artwork was reminiscent of Space Marines. I don't think it was ever actually published, though.

Anyone know what it might be? We played the heck out of it in middle school.

I'm still alive. I've been in an intense focus mode, working on a new game.

Also, playing WoW Classic a lot.

Going to go check out this Operation: Mechagon fiasco this weekend. :)

I think complaining about misusing the term "roguelike" is my version of the old guy yelling "get off my lawn!"

Food mention

Netflix recommendation picture. Horror movie posters.

I'm struggling with the fact that I may have to switch to Windows 10 for work. I keep running into show-stopping re-imports and crashes with Unity. I can usually get them to work with enough finesse (and sometimes manually rebuilding the entire project, which is HELL in a 11gb AAA project) but the time-cost for me is just to high.

I actually feel sick thinking about installing Windows.

Bought Rust on a whim, today. Works on Linux fine if you turn down the graphics a bit. Not that you can’t handle them , but there’s something in their graphics pipeline that crashes.

Also, you can’t play on PvP servers because it used EAC, but PvP is what originally turned me off about the game. So I’m good without it.

Switching to my integrated GPU really does wonders for my coffee-shop time.

If you watch a lot of Netflix you hit a point where it's like "Because you watched SHOW, here' s a list of everything else you watched."

D&D lets you live out all kinds of fantasies, such as:
-Having everyone call you by your preferred name and gender
-Having a big group of friends who do everything together
-Making a reasonable wage as a freelancer
-Being able to murder the terrible leadership of your country
-Getting 8 hours of sleep

Thinking about starting a roleplay instance for my game Vegas Prime Retrograde. Like, treat it like a communication nexus for the characters, and let other people join in as the crew of other ships. Maybe even let people self organize into ships and create their own micro stories.

I wonder if that would be well received or not on the fediverse...

I had some progress on building some dynamic storm atmospherics last night. Feel pretty good about it.

I’ve had “I Just Can’t Wait To Be King” stuck in my head for hours.
