This is nuts. We've been finding favicons just fine for, what, 25 years now? How on Earth does this seem acceptable?

While I'm in this thread, does anyone have a good alternative to DDG for search engines? I've yet to find a searx instance that isn't abysmal, but I'm more than happy to try them.
It is the nature of companies to act in a way that earns them the most profit.
Addendum 1: "If you aren't paying for it you're not the customer, your the product" is often true and often forgotten.
Addendum 2: Companies have been known to outright lie to or otherwise deceive their customers to increase their profit. Being a paying customer does not guarantee your best interests are being met.

Now, granted, I don't buy as much music as I did when I was a teenager, but it seems to me that most bands and musicians still release physical media. Maybe smaller names aren't, but before the world of streaming, would those smaller names be releasing a lot of media anyway?
Gosh, if only there were some way to own a physical analog of your music. Like, some kind of disk, or tape.
