A few days ago when I got myself a #Matrix account, people were complaining that you can't edit your own messages (as if you could on IRC). Well guess what: the feature just landed in #Riot.
@No Time To Play I just wish they would focus on optimizing their Synapse home server or improve the Dendrite one... editing messages is really only a nice to have featured and not vital. Anyone who tried self hosting Matrix sadly quickly figures out that what looks nice on the outside is sadly a horrible mess inside :( IMHO, modern #XMPP or #Mattermost are much better chat systems for self-hosting.
