@noelle
Full-stack developer, been working with the web since the 90s. #HTML, #CSS, #Javascript, #Python, #PHP, enough #Ruby and #Node to get myself into trouble. #LAMP is fine but other stacks are fine too; I'm a quick learner.
Any position is okay; I've been out of the office for a while and I''d be happy doing just about anything as long as the income is stable.

@jamey Whoops, forgot to mention that. Yes, I can't relocate at the moment, so I'm limited to remote or the Baltimore, MD area.
Forgot to mention: I can't relocate at the moment (my child is 3 months from graduation), so I'm looking for either remote work or work in Baltimore, MD and the surrounding counties (preferably to the north).
@noelle https://about.gitlab.com/jobs/ although we don't seem to have anything frontend at the moment (check back often!). Your ruby might see you through though. Fully remote *and* asynchronous, good work/life balance. I made the jump a couple of years ago, very happy!
@lupine Thanks for the link - I'll check it out!
@noelle Android Police is looking for developers if you're interested: https://twitter.com/ArtemR/status/980987645802168320?s=19
@corbin Thank you!
@noelle Hey, I know of a Python tutorial site looking for writers: https://realpython.com/write-for-us/. Try that.
I know it's writing *about* code and no so much writing actual code, but money is money.
@profoundlynerdy Thank you!
@noelle You checked out Fastly at all? They're almost totally remote from what I understand, and they're doing neat stuff.
@bendingoutward I'll take a look, thank you!
@noelle Sure thing. If you're on birdsite at all, it might be worth reaching out to jilljubs over there. She's one of their recruiters and is just a damn joy to speak with.
@noelle Good luck, Noelle!
@noelle I recently joined GoodRx - I've been with them for a bit over a month, remote, and have nothing but good things to say. We have a few remote openings at the moment: https://boards.greenhouse.io/goodrx/jobs/214750#.WsQCNogYQuU
I'm happy to answer any questions you might have about the company, too.
@noelle Have you talked to 10up? Always looking for engineers. Mostly PHP+WordPress but taking on more modern JavaScript (ES6, React) esp on top of WordPress REST API.
@daveross I'll check them out, thank you~
@noelle I know that feeling. I just got me some interviews recently in the same sort of work you're looking for. If I wind up at a place that does remote hires I can try to put in a reccomendation. If I don't, I boosted you all the same. Good luck!
@lucianlutrae Thank you!
@noelle If you're willing to occasionally commute to New York City, there are some people on this team at NYT who work from DC: https://nytimes.wd5.myworkdayjobs.com/en-US/News/job/New-York-NY/Interactive-News-Developer_REQ-002739
@glowingskull Thank you!
@noelle With your resume, you'd probably be good to apply to most stuff that appears in https://source.opennews.org/jobs/
Good luck on the hunt!
@noelle hi hi, does anything https://github.com/about/careers look interesting? it's got normal workplace problems, but the best i've been at for remote and async working. happy to answer any questions or whatever!
@ansate Oh, I didn't know they were hiring - I'll check it out! Thanks!
@noelle 32 open positions and I had at least 2 people today tell me they are trying to get one open asap! :D
@noelle #liberapay is looking for a part time Python developer to help there @liberapay open source project. It's pay is based on donations and has around ~400 euro a month available at this moment. You could see it as a payed side project. And @changaco is great to work with!
@Jelv I'll take a look, thank you. :)

@noelle sorry, should have read the resume first! No remote work opportunities *yet* 😢
@josh_clone No worries, thanks for thinking of me!
@noelle The question is, would you be willing to relocate?
@xvilo I can't at the moment, sorry.
@noelle Are you aiming for remote work? I don't see anything about location in your resume.
