The year is 2038. Sony has just announced its new console, the Playstation 12.
The developers come onstage at PAX Space. They are all young. They have always been young.
"Please," they say, "end our torment. Free us."
Behind them, the display lights up: THOUGHT-DRIVEN MOTION CONTROLS.
"Please," the devs beg over the cheering. Their youth is unnatural. Brimstone gleams at the corners of their eyes.
CALL OF DUTY: SO VERY TIRED flashes on the screen.
The screams drown out the devs' pleading.

The next day, they trudge into their offices, ready - once again - to begin a decade of preparations.
