I have the Metroid "Item Discovery" sting as my "incoming email" sound on my phone.
My phone only plays its "incoming email" sound when I get email from certain people.
Of those people, the one who emails me most is my mom.
So when I pick up an upgrade in #Metroid, subconsciously, I think, "oh, I have an email from Mom."
@noelle After playing STO, watching the DVDs makes me frequently try to check my in-game messages. Except I have no trackball beneath my hand, nor is the minimap -- flanked by buttons like the mailbox one -- at the upper right of the screen.
Disorienting!
