An addendum: I know that Ramadan is about the self and that what you eat has no bearing on your Muslim community-mates' religious practice.
But I also know that fasting is HARD, and I want to take all the steps I can to make it just that little bit easier.
@noelle yeah especially if you live in a warmer climate, the no drinking water part is very difficult
@noelle it's like a friend going on a diet, you don't have to join in but it's a dick move to yell "I CAN EAT CHEESEBURGERS NAH NAH NAH NAH NAH" every five minutes
@noelle add a tea spoon of salt to a glass of water you drink, when you’re sodium levels drop particularly when you’re fasting it can give you the gnarliest headaches

The fact that this is the first post I've seen in years advocating respect for Muslims shows me how isolating was the social bubble I was in.

Well I don't speak much about food on the Internet (not as a theme in itself, at time I use some food related metaphor for something else, like spaghetti code, onion routing or the like...)
But as a #Christian myself, I will try to be respectful of the religious practices of my #Muslim #friends.
