While charity is great, Consider supporting people in your community, either physical or virtual, you'll soon see that money come back into circulation rather than it going somewhere you can't see it.
Help your community flourish!
It doesn't have to be a lot.
Say you throw $1 on 10, or as many as you feel you can support long term, patreons (or your preferred platform) a month, and a bunch of other people in the same online community did this.
You'll see positive change sooner rather than later, promise.
When it comes to #patreon, while bigger pledges are nice, I would rather have $1/month for a year, than $10 one month and you then realizing you can't afford that.
I rather see you support me with $1, and 4 other people on patreon, than $5 to me.
@maloki Not a Patreon or Kofi, but my (surprisingly functioning) Liberapay: https://en.liberapay.com/Lilletale
Trying to pay my bills while I finish university, before ending up in an even more economically unstable world (theatre).
Tbh I'm just looking for patrons so I can make theatre.
@lilletale Tell us more about the theatre you want to make!
@maloki don't ask a theatre studies major that, you'll get a thesis!
Joke aside, I'm still working on Tour de Nora on occasion, and right now I'm doing an internship working on a play about privacy and surveillance.
I'm also planning to build a ship of political parties' merch just to let the damn thing sink, as a metaphor for how politics are made.
And I have a list of computer games I'd love to dramatise. But buying ©-rights and licenses are expensive af, and I'll never get a grant for it
@maloki https://www.patreon.com/nekobakaz I have a couple of webcomics, occasionally post pieces of novel drafts, and when it’s warm enough, will be working on the canvas of doom. Currently working on my webcomic website move
@maloki I have a liberapay at https://liberapay.com/f0x/
I write free software, usually for decentralized stuff, and host a bunch of (federated) services for everyone to use at lain.haus
I'm also do the occasional programming stream on either Twitch or YouTube, but looking for a floss streaming platform
@maloki I write choral music and share the sheet music for it under a CC-by-SA license so it's more accessible for everyone.
Patreon, Kofi, subscriptions etc available at http://www.artsyhonker.net/support
