I should probably be taking this behind CWs. I'm sorry that I didn't from the beginning. Sometimes I feel like some stuff needs to be said out loud, but I understand the need for CWs, and I apologize.

One of the reasons this frustrates me, because it happens just 3 weeks after I was told I wasn't strictly needed in the role I was filling.

The temperature of the waters, so to speak. Find out what people wanted, not only by looking at a really old feature request, but maybe sharing it again and being like "Okay, this is on the table for consideration, but we need some more feedback, and look at abuse-vectors etc."

Showing that we wanted to listen. But like.... The result, is that G is back at "I don't care what you say", while pretending that he still wants to be Anti-Abuse.

Just tell us you don't really care, so we can truly fork and move on with development that actually cares about a vulnerable userbase.

Don't vaguely say it, just come out and say it properly. Tell us, so we know what to expect form you.

The Double Speak is troublesome, and it even hurt me personally.

I thought we wanted to be better than Twitter and Facebook, but that's not what I'm seeing here.

Him being under fire is his own doing. It happens, and it's a recurring behaviour pattern from his side, unfortunately.

Yes, he's under fire, but it's because when we try to talk calmly and just ask politely he just dismiss us and shut us down, so sometimes we end up needing to get really loud to be heard.

And for reference: I'm not in favor of trends. I'd prefer to not have them, but I think going about it in this way is completely wrong.

@rdh People are going about it this way, because it ends up being the only way to make ourselves heard, and others have done it in the past too, when they get tired of trying to reasonably have a discussion, where we just get dismissed and shut down.

@rdh It's not my argument. It's a shared argument. Which is showing frustration, when people are trying to talk in a calm sensible manner over a long period of time, but just being consistently dismissed.

Never a "I need some time to think about this", never a "how can we compromise".

A lead developer should be able to do that. Or have team-members that can.

And please don't use the Fork-Off, which is just exasperating the point we're trying to make, that we're being dismissed.
