@jellyfish_link I've wondered that in some cases. I guess for some things normalizing the words so they can hit more naïve filters might be of value? But I'm unclear on the value of a CW on something that's specific enough that the CW dumps it on you anyway.

@aschmitz i know personally i find it more upsetting to see many things in isolation than in context. of course other people may see things differently; i just think in general mastodon CW culture runs on a lot of assumptions and generalizations by people because there are no proper channels for actually listening to affected parties
