hey techy masto anyone know of good intros to the command line that are preferably short and very beginner friendly? :boost_ok:

@daffodilian linuxcommand.org/tlcl.php/ this is bash specific but the book is CC licensed and will take you from 0 to Hero and you'll understand both the why and how.

After thst, I suggest this archive.org/details/LinuxBible t
the 10th edition is marginally better but it's not a significant difference. This will take you from Hero to Sysadmin

@beegrrl was looking for something on the shorter end and its not for me but thx!

@daffodilian on birdsite there used to be a great account called climagic. Perhaps they have a presence on the web or fedi?

@iMartyn yup they do on the fedi @/[email protected] and still are on twitter i think? and i follow them but im looking for more like very introductory stuff

@daffodilian best beginner things I know of are Zed Shaw's stuff at learncodethehardway.org, even if the tone tends to be blunt. Found this doc of his specific to learning command line -- computervillage.org/articles/C
