Um, for simplicity's sake let's call a dungeon a discrete area of a game world designed to present the player with challenges either distinct from, or harder than, those encountered in the main game world
™ supreme goblin @coriander@wallhackio So, yeah, vaults in 3D Fallouts are dungeons, the big areas in Elden Ring are dungeons, temples in Zelda games are dungeons, etc
