Girls, can I be honest for a second? This is a safe space, right?
I find the weird shit the Nier games do to be INCREDIBLY tiresome
And remember: I say this as a Kingdom Hearts fan who can tell you what 385/2 Days means as a title
I don't believe that calling it Nier Replicant ver 1.22474487139.. means anything
Those are just a lot of numbers
I think Nier being a spin-off from one specific weird ending to a Drakengard game and then Nier Automata being a spin-off from one specific ending of Nier is interesting because, like, that's fuckin wild why would you do that
But the stuff the Nier games do to Seem Interesting just rubs me the wrong way
Okay, being honest, I'm just salty because I had Automata built up over the years as this masterwork of philosophical sci-fi and then when I played it I encountered a robot just rehashing the Ship of Theseus to me
"Oh here's two robots named Sartre and Camus and they're having a disagreement"
C'mon, man
@coriander i've never played nier but im feeling like a hater today so i agree
