I feel like a story calling itself "Lovecraftian" right off the bat kind of works against any actual elements of cosmic horror the story might have
Imagine going in to something and not knowing you were going to get nameless dread from the colours beyond time, wouldn't that hit so much harder than going in and just waiting for the colours beyond time to show up?
@coriander bloodborne did it right
@wallhackio I am ALWAYS saying this about everything Bloodborne did
@coriander @wallhackio Do you think that the MTG designers were annoyed that Bloodborne came out before Shadows Over Innistrad did so as soon as they started hinting at what was going everyone went "Oh, like Bloodborne"
@amy @coriander @wallhackio i dont know mtg at all but i feel like if its called shadows over innistrad its kinda wearing lovecraft pretty firmly on its sleeve from the start
@saraphim @amy @wallhackio It absolutely was
