But GOD I miss G4

™ supreme goblin @coriander@IntrepidVector I discovered TechTV in its dying days and I remember when it added the G4 to the name, that was probably when the programming was the strongest in my opinion, you still had the fun stuff like episodes of the Thunderbirds with the pop-up annotations but you also had, like, early X Play and the start of Attack of the Show
Once it became just G4 and really focused hard on video games exclusively that's definitely when it stareted to fall off, but even then it took a while for it to become real bad
@coriander I think The Screensavers may have made me a giant geek. Got me into There.com. Followed them on TWiT for a while.

@coriander in my recollection, in order to watch G4 you had to be capable of willingly watching a woman talk about video games, so most gamers today probably wouldn’t tune in
