@lapis@Lady @coriander somewhat, though speaking as someone who spent a childhood on fanfiction dot net, some people just straight up wouldn't even label their smut fic with "lemon" because then it could be taken down.
@lapis @coriander i mean that's what i'm saying though, text censorship is the original censorship, it's always been technologically trivial to search text for "bad" words
so using bad or obscure euphemisms is already an ingrained part of fandom culture; people would adapt to it on tumblr pretty easily i feel
sidenote: i imagine historians in the future will really resent the early 2000’s for making them keep running lists of site-specific words and phrases used to get around censorship blocks lmao
