It's very exciting to see that the Supreme Court has declared it illegal to fire someone for being LGBT.
However, they also declined to hear a case related to "qualified Immunity", which has allowed scumbag cops to get away with BS.
So what I'm saying here is we should absolutely celebrate the very important victory, but acknowledge there's still a LOT more work ahead and we should not become complacent!
Some doomish-thoughts/rageposting, uspol adj.
CWing just in case ya have low spoons :)
- LGBT Folks still likely have a battle on their hands regarding healthcare (DURING A PANDEMIC)
- Police still are bastards
- Black Lives Still Matter
- Still way more fuckery to come in upcoming primaries/elections (again, BECAUSE PANDEMIC ...and also Republicans)
