Confession: The last Donkey Kong game I played was Donkey Kong Jr, and that was on an Atari 2600 in the 80s.

@Garrison Nevertheless, that's the game and console combination.

@Crash im not sure i've ever played the arcade version, but i remember enjoying the NES port as a kid

@Garrison I remember playing it because it was one of the few games we had and I hadn't learned yet that I dislike platformers.

@Crash did you have "adventure"? it was a game where you played a little square that had to find a golden trophy (the manual called it a chalice, but it looked like a trophy to me) and bring it back to the yellow castle.

loved it, played it for hours and hours.

@Garrison I'll be honest, I don't remember most of the games I had. Many were bought at yard sales, and one of them was just the internal chip with no case.

Combat was the best Atari game ever made, though.

@Crash probably unrelated but I get the feeling I'm the only one who likes the ports of the orginal donkey kong arcade game

@venatus I'm sure others liked them, too.

I mean, I didn't mainly because I was horrible at it, but I'm sure others did.
